Information about the Burydene Playing Field and associated facilities - pavilion, play equipment, pitches, MUGA
The Parish Council delegates to a committee (the Playing Fields Association) for overseeing the Bury Dene Recreation Ground, the pavilion, and the associated play equipment and sports facilities. There is a Multi Use Games Area with tennis court and net, which is floodlit. Tokens to power the floodlights can be purchased (see below).
The play equipment is safety checked twice a year by a qualified safety inspector, and necessary action is taken to ensure the equipment is maintained to the required standard.
The pavilion can be hired by sports teams, for parties, and other functions, making full use of the fantastic field right outside.
The annual summer fete is held in July (usually the first Saturday) on the Bury Dene field.
If you would like to hire the pavilion, the football pitches or obtain tokens to illuminate the MUGA, please contact the parish council clerk in the first instance who will put you in contact with a member of the Playing Fields Association.
