The Bedwyns Link Annual General Meeting will be on Wednesday 6 March at 6.30pm at the Great Bedwyn Village Hall.

Last year, The Bedwyns Link  took 421 people on essential car trips, covering 8541 miles. .

Members of many surrounding parishes use The Bedwyns Link scheme – a valuable free scheme (donations welcome!).  The need for local transport for health related journeys (for example, to GP surgery or hospital) and good neighbour activities (such as collecting prescriptions) is growing with the cost of living crisis and as the local population ages and fewer people are able to drive themselves.  So it is good to have a backup.  Mileage costs for drivers are reclaimable.

Volunteering for Link is a very positive way of helping our rural communities remain sustainable. But we need more volunteers, either as drivers or coordinators (who can work from home).  Fortunately, at present, there are sufficient reserves not to seek your financial support.

Our AGM is an opportunity for anyone interested to learn more about what we do and give back to their community.

If you need further information please do not hesitated to contact the Chair, Sylvia Wyatt – sylvia.wyatt000@gmail.com (that’s 3 zeros!)
